Royal Globe Inc. is an Education and Garment Manufacturing Company founded April 2015. Our mission is to improve lives by equipping people with skills that enable self-employment and self-sufficiency and thereby to impact communities.
Our vocational skills programs are a solution to the high unemployment rate in Dominica. The programs target persons who desire to be entrepreneurs, those who are employed but would like to earn extra income and those who prefer to be self-sufficient and save money completing items for personal use.
The organisation offers periodical training in a variety of handcrafts, including crochet, teddy bear making, doll decorating, soap making and others which can be mastered quickly, however, sewing is our primary focus area. We provide sewing classes at four levels - three adult programs and the only sewing class in Dominica that caters specifically to children 8 to 13 years old. To this date we have held more than 30 programs and trained over 400 persons in various vocational areas. And it is always our joy to see our trainees successfully using the skills learned through our programs.
In 2018, we hosted our first entrepreneurial workshop under the theme ‘Going Global with My Business – A Changed Mindset.’ The event was funded by the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Local partners were the National Development Foundation of Dominica and the Dominica Youth Business Trust. Over 65 entrepreneurs and persons interested in owning businesses benefited from the 3- day event. Pivoting from the workshop, we organized 'The Entrepreneurs’ Forum', in 2019. A bi-monthly event to provide existing and aspiring entrepreneurs with information relevant to business ownership. The sessions brought together various stakeholders who educated entrepreneurs and entrepreneur hopefuls on the who, what, where and how of business operations - empowering these business owners to operate at their highest potential. This event later received sponsorship from the National Bank of Dominica. (Read about The Entrepreneur's Forum : Dominica News Online ; Vibes Radio )
