Royal Globe Inc. is a Vocational Education and Garment Manufacturing Company founded April 2015. Through our regular sewing classes and other programs over the past seven years, we fulfill our mission to improve lives by equipping people with skills that enable self-employment and self-sufficiency.

Our vocational skills programs, which focuses in Garment Manufacturing, are a solution to the high unemployment rate in Dominica. The programs target people who desire to be entrepreneurs, those who are employed but would like to earn extra income and those who prefer to be self-sufficient and save money completing items for personal use.

The organization offers sewing classes at four levels - three adult programs and the only sewing class in Dominica that caters specifically to children 8 to 13 years old.  We provide periodical training  in a variety of other handcrafts, including crochet, teddy bear making, doll decorating, soap making and others skills which can be mastered quickly. To this date, we have held more than 30 programs and trained over 500 persons in various vocational areas. For us, it is always a joy to see our trainees successfully using the skills learned through our programs. And we take pride in showcasing their work on our Facebook Page (view RGI Facebook page here; sign up for a sewing program here)

In 2018, we hosted our first entrepreneurial workshop under the theme ‘Going Global with My Business – A Changed Mindset.’ The event was funded by the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Local partners were the National Development Foundation of Dominica and the Dominica Youth Business Trust. Over 65 entrepreneurs and persons interested in owning businesses benefited from the 3- day event. (Read about the workshop here Dominica News Online ; Facebook session on 'Business Pitching to Investors' presented by Davis Smith CEO of Cotopaxi, Utah)

Pivoting from the workshop, we   organized 'The Entrepreneurs’   Forum', in 2019. A bi-monthly   event to provide existing and   aspiring entrepreneurs with   information relevant to business   ownership. The sessions bring   together various stakeholders   who educate entrepreneurs and entrepreneur hopefuls on the who, what, where and how of business operations - empowering these business owners to operate at their highest potential. This event later received sponsorship from the National Bank of Dominica.

On November 21st, as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020, we launched Startup Huddle Dominica. A local chapter of a global program developed by the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) and sponsored by the US Embassy in Barbados and the OECS. The event presents a safe space where entrepreneurs can present their ideas and start-ups that are 3 years and younger with the intention of helping the attendees or the community to understand what they do as well as to get feedback and solutions on how to solve difficulties they may be experiencing in their business.
